It’s break but I’m awake

29 12 2007

It’s ironic but I have to get used to it if I wanna stay sane. I think I’m twice as busy now. It sucks but that’s the way it is.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy and all. The load is just way out of my league. Like today, I have to shoot a video, write a script for a short, layout a whole book, do org things, meet up with friends, write proposals, finish accounting, send and answer mail, and write the magazine cover feature. These are all due tonight.

One day, I’ll sleep and wake up one year after.

Taking a five minute break. Doing a second pass on my Journ papers. The one on Media Laws is tricky. No, insane. I’m having a hard time. !!!!

“Aside from the constitutional provisions related to freedom of speech and expression, legal sources affecting the mass media are the Revised Penal Code, Chapter 2 of the Civil Code, the Rules of Court and un-repealed presidential decrees.”

Why, why do I have to put a dash in the word un-repealed. WHYYYYYY

Meanwhile, Chuck’s disturbing me.

What’s on my mind? Where to get the time to finish my pitch for tom’s Prod Design presentation. Scale model. Color palette. Sample wallpaper design. Sample paint. Sample clothing material. AN ACTUAL CONCEPT. Someone teach me how to sew!!!

In other less perky news, I can’t wait to watch Cloverfield!!!

shoot

Yesterday’s shoot was real pleasant. Like chill pleasant. Like done in two hours pleasant. Company was nice. Miguel and Shawn were just great with the camera. The four guys were ok lang, ok naman. Juana’s house was like being transported to Southern France. She, Pao and I joked and laughed the whole time, as usual. Saya.

Dashed to school ‘cause I needed twenty minutes to prepare the blood for the TV commercial I was producing for a fake new show called PATAYAN NA. It was so fun. I had electric wires, layers of plastic all over the head, body tied on a chair, a fierce woman holding a gun aimed at the head, and of course, blood dripping like mad.

At the end of the class, the prof approached me and made me laugh.

PROF: Dapat gumamit ka ng hotcake syrup para talagang tuloy-tuloy ang patak ng dugo.

Hm.

Control

Thursday. I don’t know where to begin.

Was drinking corn shake outside Glorietta when the first shots were fired. When some people started to run and scream for their lives, I took out my camera. Ang feeling ko sobra.

I thought of going to Abet and Orlan’s office para exciting but THEY WENT HOME BEFORE LUNCH!!

Took me two and a half hours to reach le office. It was a riot.

Kat and I closed five sections in two hours. Oh yeah. I think we set an actual record right there. It usually takes us two hours to close, um, ONE section.

And of all days that I’d forget my press ID. Iba talaga ang pressure ng curfew.

Tomorrow, my toughest week this sem will begin spewing time-consuming, boring actividades aka SUP “FUN” CLASS PERIODS LIKE BC 123 AND BC 196. And …Two pieces for the daily. Two for the magazine. Another two for J 101. A short film for Prod Design class. A 30-second commercial—and it’s just so nice that it’s going to be produced, well, LIVE. And after almost two months, a shoot for next week’s cover. Add that to org work and council “work,” which are both at their peak this season. But I’m happy, so bring itt!!
